Former Love Island star Laura Anderson has tested positive for Covid.

The reality TV star – who lives in Dubai – confessed to fans that she was suffering from “dodgy breathing” after catching the viral disease.

Speaking to her Instagram followers, she said: “Loza is positive. For once not in a good way. Hey guys so the inevitable has happened after a year and a half, what two years? I have Covid.

“I managed to dodge it for that time. Probably because I went to the UK at the weekend. Who knows?”

Laura Anderson relocated to Dubai earlier this year

The 32-year-old continued: “Do not be fazed by the glam and the filter. Excuse the dodgy breathing. I’ve been doing content today so excuse me if it’s not too good.

“I need your help. I’m supposed to be starting panto rehearsals this Saturday which is obviously not going to be happening now. I need to isolate now.”

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Laura would be starring as the Wicked Queen in a Dubai’s pantomime production of Snow White.

Laura – who rose to fame in the 2018 series of Love Island – admitted to her followers that she is concerned that having to isolate may impact her performance

“I just need your support more than ever to be honest. If anyone wants to come to the show to see me forget my lines, the dance moves cause I’ve only done half the rehearsals,” the former air hostess continued.

“Absolutely gutted to be missing our first week of panto rehearsals. I feel terrible to not be there to see everyone. I’m definitely causing an inconvenience.”

The happy couple first started dating in 2018 – before Laura’s stint on the ITV2 show

Laura’s positive Covid case comes as the star is trying to conceive her first baby with partner Dane.

The couple have had an on-off relationship since first beginning their romance prior to Laura’s stint on the ITV2 dating show.

Earlier this year, she and the pop star rekindled their relationship and made a new life for themselves over in Dubai.

Speaking on Vicky Pattison’s latest podcast episode, Laura admitted she has come off the pill in order to try and conceive her first child.

She told the former Geordie Shore star: “We started trying really quickly. I’ve been on the pill for years – just so long I was on the pill – and I thought, do you know what, this probably is not that good for my body.

“And I was just like ‘Should I just come off it and we won’t 100% try.’

But I got the app so I tracked when I’d be ovulating and he was like ‘If you’re going to come off the pill we may as well track it and do it properly’.”

Dane is certain that Laura is ‘The One’

Earlier this year, Dane, 41, spoke of his love for the Love Island babe and how he is sure she was ‘The One’.

He told new! magazine: “I probably should have grown up before now, being in my forties. There’s been a shift in deciding to live with each other.

We’re talking about marriage and babies and we’d like to do that soon. This is it. This is proper. This is the one.

He added: “I never gave my all [in previous relationships] so I don’t know if I was totally in love. Which is quite sad really … going through life and not being in love.”
