If you’ve ever questioned the power of the influencer, here is the evidence of their impact.
An Australian brand has been inundated with new customers just a day after former MAFS star Martha Kalifatidis featured their boob tape on her Instagram.
The 33-year-old reality television personality, who has 619,000 followers on the platform, posted a topless video on Wednesday night and revealed her secret to the perfect plunging neckline.
“It actually feels like swimwear, it’s so stretchy and nice and smooth,” Kalifatidis said in the video as she modelled the tape.
In the hours since the post, beauty brand Hold has reported a massive $15,000 frenzy in sales of their tape.
“When she posted we saw over $15,000 in sales,” Hold founder Mathieu Mariole told news.com.au less than 24 hours after the video went live.
“We were overwhelmed with the support. It is so exciting to know our product will help so many, especially now that everyone is heading out again.”
Mariole said Kalifatidis was the “ideal” brand ambassador as she was “so comfortable with her body”.
“We love that Martha is so confident as that embodies everything that we are and what we want our customers to feel,” he said.
Kalifatidis tagged the company in her video and praised the tape, saying it’s the best she’s ever used.
“If you’ve never seen a boob tape, don’t freak out, this is normal,” she said.
“It is more comfortable than a bra, you don’t have anything weighing around your neck or your shoulders.
“This tape by Hold is literally the best boob tape I’ve ever used.”
She then completed her look with an oversized blazer.
In August the influencer revealed she was planning on getting her breast implants removed during an Instagram Q&A.
“Also I’ve decided I’m having my implants removed,” she said.
“Been looking for a doc in Sydney but don’t really know… if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.”
